READING HABITS BOOK TAG

reading book tag

This Reading Habits Book Tag was originally created by Fatina, but I've seen so many bloggers have joined the fun. So my current read is - A Bad Day for Scandal by Sophie Littlefield. Actually, I really take a long time to finish this book as the English used were quite complicated, or maybe it just because of my poor vocabulary. Phew~ But the storyline is very interesting, especially on how Stella free herself from her abusive husband and then willing to help defense victimized women.

1. Do you have certain place at home for reading?
No specific place but I always read on the super comfy couch in the living room. The bedroom can never be the perfect place to read a book as I share my room with two younger sisters (12years old & 14 years old) which are very loud and annoying, Ahahahaha.

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I always tend to remember what page did I stop before. But I love to collect some cute bookmarks, especially with nice quotes on it. Hehehe. Dog-ear is HARAM for my books! hahaha.

3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?
I only will stop after a chapter or a certain amount of pages of the book. I hate distraction when I'm with my book.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?
I love to read the newspaper while eating. Hahaha. In fact, I only read the newspaper when eating. But I never touch my books while eating, I may be insane if my books smell like belacan, hahaha. I have no problem to drink while reading books.

5. Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?
Of course not, I can't do that! I love music as much as I love movies and books. Hahaha. So I can only choose one at a time or I'll not be able to focus at all.

6. One book at a time or several at once?
One type of book at a time, I can't read two novels at the same time or I'll get confuse with all the characters and plot. But there's no problem for me to read a novel and motivation book at once.

7. Reading at home or everywhere?
Home and on the public transport. It's better to grab a book and read on the LRT instead of just staring at the stranger's faces, ahahaha.

8. Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently in my head. But when I get stuck to understand the words I'll read out loud the sentences repeatedly until I get clear with the point (not so loud, just enough for my ears able to hear). Yeah, it helps a lot! I don't know why but it also works for some serious and academic reads.

9. Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
Read ahead.

10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
Omg of course keeping it like new. I love my books so much! That's why I don't like people touching my books, they never understand how much I treasure the books.

11. Do you write in your books?
Depends. I never write nonsense in my book, hahaha, but for English novel sometimes I'll write the meaning of some words that I don't know or I rarely used.
